Naturally Adjust to Daylight Savings Time

Wondering how to naturally adjust to daylight savings time?

Use the sunlight to reset your circadian rhythm. As soon as you wake up and the sun comes up, go outside for a walk and soak up the rays.

Limit caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, and some medicines, especially close to bedtime.

Bright light therapy: Exposure to bright artificial lights can reorient circadian rhythms quite effectively. But be sure not to do this close to bedtime.

Try and wake up every day at the same time: Keeping a regular sleep schedule will help reset your circadian rhythm.

Bottom Line… Reset your circadian rhythm by slowly shifting your sleep times, getting light first thing, in the morning and avoiding light (including t.v and devices), meals, and vigorous exercise close to bedtime.
